Our University, Our Future: Inauguration program concludes April 21 with conversation about SUNY New Paltz’s impact in the community

SUNY New Paltz has planned three days of on-campus festivities from April 19 through April 21 to commemorate the inauguration of Dr. Darrell P. Wheeler.

The Friday, April 21, program includes a panel discussion on the impact of SUNY New Paltz in the region and beyond, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in Studley Theatre. The panel will be followed by an award ceremony recognizing community partners.

As part of the April 21 conclusion to the Inauguration Program, Alpha Phi Omega and New Paltz Rotary Club are hosting a collection drive seeking personal hygiene items to benefit the local nonprofit Family of New Paltz. Guests at the morning panel and thank-you brunch on April 21 are encouraged to bring an item to donate.

Led by President Wheeler, these events will focus on the University’s ties to our community partners and the many ways in which our students, faculty, staff and alumni serve the local, regional and global communities.
