Holistic Hawks hosts series of #StressBusters to mark the end of the fall 2022 semester

With the fall 2022 semester winding to a close, the College’s Holistic Hawks committee is offering 20 Stressbuster events from Dec. 9-20 to help New Paltz students beat Finals Week stress and prepare to transition to winter break.

An additional series of group exercise classes will be held for students at the Athletic & Wellness Center from Dec. 13 – 15.

Here are some of the highlights of the fall 2022 #StressBusters events:

Plant enthusiasts will feel at home during a Succulent Planting & Pot Painting workshop Monday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. in the Student Union MPR. Free succulents and decorating materials will be provided.

If you’re a fan of stress balls, you’re in luck. You can make one of your own with the Disability Resource Center on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 12 p.m. in HAB 210.

The Psychological Counseling Center offers support at Let’s Talk, the informal, walk-in counseling service, on Dec. 14, and Art Your Stress Away on Dec. 15.

On Friday, Dec. 16, Anna the Therapy dog will be on campus in HAB 701 for students who want to pay her a visit. Walk-ins welcome!

That’s just a small sample of everything there is to offer. Other #StressBusters events include art classes for all levels, a trivia event, an open drum circle and many more.
