EOP holiday tradition of supporting local children returns to campus
Once again, as the holiday season approaches, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at SUNY New Paltz and its national honor society Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) Beta Omicron Chapter, are bringing back their successful holiday gift program to support the Agri-Business Child Development (ABCD) community in 2022.
EOP and the students of XAE are inviting all members of the SUNY New Paltz community to contribute a gift of new clothing or new toys for children from 3 months to 4 years old.
If you’re interested in participating, fill out this request form. Once the form is received, Ivelisse Tuttle, senior EOP advisor and XAE chapter advisor, will coordinate and ensure that gifts are distributed to the children.
Donations may be dropped off at the EOP Office in the Haggerty Administration Building, Room 019, by Friday, Dec. 2 (or sooner if you can!).
As a reminder, EOP requests that donated gifts not be wrapped – the program organizers will handle this to ensure equitable distribution of gifts.
This program is a long-running tradition organized by the New Paltz EOP community. Last year, participants “adopted” 30 children and the goal is to increase that to 34.
