“What can I do with a philosophy major?”: Oct. 14 panel brings successful alumni back to campus

The Department of Philosophy will host an Alumni Panel on Friday, Oct. 14, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the College Terrace, followed by a special reception at 5 p.m. for Philosophy alumni from across the years.

The panel—to focus on the question “What Can I do with a Philosophy Major?”—will include four philosophy alumni, plus Director of the Career Resource Center Mark McFadden.

The alumni on the panel are:

Tom Sartain ’06 Senior Staff Engineer, Skillshare

Zoe Kheyman ’12, Attorney, The Legal Aid Society, New York

Shantel V. Scott ’13, Clinical Supervisor, The Bowery Mission, New York

Jack Haanraadts ’15, Vice President, FINN Partners, New York

Associate Professor Bruce Milem will serve as moderator. The panel is open to current students of any major.

The free event for the campus community is sponsored by the Department of Philosophy, with funding from the Career Resource Center, and the Office of the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
