Aug. 31 is the last day of on-campus COVID-19 testing provided by Enzo Labs
The on-campus testing site operated by Enzo Labs will close effective Sept. 1, 2022, after a more-than-two-year partnership that provided thousands of COVID-19 tests to the SUNY New Paltz campus community.
Aug. 31 will be the final day for students, faculty and staff to use this resource for PCR testing. Appointments for that date are available here.
As previously announced, the College will make greater use of self-administered antigen tests going forward, as we follow local, state and federal health agencies in adopting this as the best approach for the current stage of pandemic management.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use at-home antigen tests when they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Results from antigen tests can be uploaded to the COVID-19 Profile at my.newpaltz.edu to satisfy testing requirements.
Antigen tests are available on campus for students, faculty and staff. Students may purchase antigen tests for $1 at the Snack Shack vending machine outside the Student Union. Faculty and staff (with campus ID) can pick up a two-pack at the Mail Room in the Haggerty Administration Building basement.
Antigen tests are also widely available at pharmacies and online retailers, and costs may be covered or reimbursed by your health insurance. More information here about where to find antigen tests.
Students who have COVID-19 symptoms, but test negative on two or more antigen tests, can contact the Student Health Service at (845) 257-3400 to discuss next steps, which may include scheduling a PCR test.
