New on our COVID-19 Dashboard: Reporting on student booster rates
The College has expanded the chart that appears on our COVID-19 Dashboard to include the booster rate among eligible students.
This information appears alongside the rate of primary (first completed series) vaccination for both students and employees, which we began reporting in fall 2021.
The chart reports the booster rate only among those students who are eligible for a booster, as defined by the CDC.
Many of our students are not yet eligible for a booster, either because they had their primary vaccination recently or because they were recently infected with COVID-19.
The chart also excludes the approximately 3% of students who have an approved medical or religious exemption.
As of Jan. 31, 2022, 81% of New Paltz students who are eligible for the booster have gotten the shot and uploaded proof to my.newpaltz.edu.
As previously announced, SUNY requires all students at all campuses to get their booster shot when eligible unless they have an approved exemption. More information about SUNY’s booster requirement is available here.
Already got your shot? Please use this link for instructions for uploading proof to your COVID-19 Profile.
