United University Professions (UUP) and the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations (GOER) have reached an agreement with respect to extending the date by which Voluntary Reduction (VR) Credits earned during 2019-2020 SUNY fiscal year (as contained in Appendix A-46 VRWS Program Guidelines of the 2016-2022 Agreement) must be liquidated.
The agreement further extends the date to liquidate Voluntary Reduction Credits which would otherwise have expired on Dec. 30, 2020, from March 31, 2021, to Sept. 30, 2021.
This extension applies to VR Credits earned in SUNY Fiscal Year 2019-20 and does not apply to VR Credits earned on or after July 1, 2020. Nothing herein alters any other portion of the VRWS Program Guidelines in the Agreement.
In addition, the period for UUP employees to elect holiday compensation in lieu of comp time, or revoke a previous election, is open now through May 15, 2021. Please submit this form to the Payroll Office by close of business on May 15 to adjust your VR Credits election.
