Dismantling Racism community dialogue on Monday, March 8
SUNY New Paltz will host the next installment in its series of community dialogues on Monday, March 8, from 3:45-5 p.m. All students, faculty, staff and alumni are welcome to attend.
Please use this link to join the meeting on Zoom when the event begins.
The College will again welcome alumna Camille Jacobs ’91 (Communications Media), an educator and restorative justice thought leader in New York City, to facilitate this conversation. Jacobs will frame the focus of the discussion on “Setting Free Every Other Person to Be Who He or She Intended to Be,” honoring and supporting individualism. Then, as in last November’s conversation, breakout rooms will be formed for small group discussions before coming back together for a group distill and closing.
The discussion will be hosted on Zoom, will be live-streamed on YouTube and will be archived there for viewers who are not able to attend live.
We hope that you will join us for conversations that matter, intended to embrace many dimensions, including race and the ways in which we productively and proactively interact with members of our campus community.
