Meet the Google Waze head of global marketing at a virtual fireside chat on Aug. 13
SUNY New Paltz students and alumni have an opportunity to hear from a tech industry leader on Thursday, Aug. 13, thanks to the new partnership between the Career Resource Center and the one-to-one professional networking agency Bonsai.
Students and alumni are invited to tune into a fireside chat featuring Emma Weisberg, the head of global marketing for the GPS app Waze, which was purchased by Google for $966 million in 2013.
Weisberg will speak with Jake Rosenfeld, cofounder of Bonsai, about breaking into “big tech,” starting a company from scratch, and seeking employment in a post-COVID world as an intern or entry-level candidate. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions as well.
This event is exclusive to SUNY New Paltz students and alumni, but advance RSVP is required to attend. Use this link to sign up for this conversation on Aug. 13 at noon.
The fireside chat with Weisberg is a preview of the kind of opportunities Bonsai will offer to New Paltz students and alumni beginning this fall. The New Paltz community will have increased access to Bonsai’s personalized, one-on-one video chats for career advice beginning in September.
