Center for International Programs launching photo contest as part of Study Abroad Day celebration
Feb. 24 is National Study Abroad Day, and SUNY New Paltz’s Center for International Programs is inviting all members of the campus community to celebrate international education in all its forms.
The Center will be launching a study abroad photo contest on Instagram (@newpaltzabroad), featuring photos from New Paltz students who have taken advantage of the 100+ academic study abroad programs the College offers. Voting will take place through the week, with the winner announced on March 2.
Also on Feb. 24 will be a study abroad information session for students who are interested in learning more about program offerings, internships, scholarships and other means of support available to support students’ travel. The info session will take place at 2 p.m. in the Student Union, room 100N.
Then at 6 p.m. on National Study Abroad Day, the Center for International Programs will host an alumni panel and international trivia night at the College Terrace. All are invited to hear direct accounts of students’ experiences abroad. This event will include special performances by the International Student Union.
The deadline to apply for summer study abroad experiences is March 1, and the deadline for fall and academic year experiences is April 1.
