Chinese Dual Diploma program is subject of new publication by psychology faculty
Glenn Geher, professor of psychology at SUNY New Paltz, is the author of a new article describing his experiences and lessons learned while leading a course at Chongqing University of Education (CQUE) in Chongqing, China.
Geher taught at CQUE through a new Dual Diploma program available to international students at SUNY New Paltz. This partnership enables Chinese students to split time between the two institutions, attaining language and teaching skills on their way to a four-year degree.
Geher’s article, published May 30 in Psychology Today, focuses on how the experience of teaching in China subverted his expectations and deepened his understanding of Chinese culture, international relations, and human universals.
