School of Business announces 2016 Hall of Fame inductees

The School of Business at SUNY New Paltz is pleased to announce its 2016 Hall of Fame inductees. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on April 13, 2016 at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., from 5 – 8 p.m.

Business Person of the Year: George Quigley. George is the CEO and President of Stavo Industries and ErtelAlsop, an innovator in the manufacturing of depth filter media and machinery for liquid filtration. He is an active member of the New Paltz community who has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to maintaining the vitality of the region.

Dean’s Award of Excellence: Kathy Prizzia. Kathy is the Executive Director of the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce and has lived in the New Paltz area for over 20 years. She is extremely active in the New Paltz community, acting as Chairman of the Taste of New Paltz, the New Paltz Regatta Planning Committee, the SUNY New Paltz Business Advisory Council and the Ulster County Tourism Advisory Board.

Alumnus of the Year: Jason Dahl ’90 (Economics). Jason is a senior portfolio manager with NewBridge Asset Management, a Victory Capital Investment Franchise, and a member of the Large Cap Growth and Global Growth portfolio management teams. After graduating from New Paltz Dahl went on to obtain his MBA from Pace University.

Student Leader of the Year: Micaela Manteo ’15 (Public Accountancy). An MBA student and recent New Paltz graduate, Micaela is deeply involved in the School of Business as a site coordinator for the VITA program, Vice President of Programming for Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and President of the Accounting and Finance Association. She plans to finish her MBA at New Paltz and obtain her CPA license.

The School of Business Hall of Fame was established in 2001 to recognize and acknowledge the achievements of those who have made significant contributions to their respective business professions, while also having a significant positive impact on the educational activities of the School.
