Alum’s architecture firm wins Building Project of the Year award
Congratulations are in order for alumnus Rick Alfandre ’80 (Communication Studies) and his firm Alfandre Architecture based in New Paltz.The firm was honored with the Best New Building Project of the Year award as part of the 10th annual Business Recognition Awards presented Oct. 23 at the Wiltwyck Golf Club in the town of Ulster.
“The chamber would like to congratulate the winners and to offer special thanks to those who provided the nominations and the independent panel for the final selections,” Chamber of Commerce President Ward Todd said in a prepared statement. “These best-of- Ulster County awards are peer-driven and an excellent way for the business community to recognize outstanding efforts.”
The awards recognize Ulster County entrepreneurs and businesses that are leaders in their sectors, have achieved outstanding results or shown dedication and commitment to furthering business and the quality of life in the county and Hudson Valley region.
