Ribbon-cutting ceremony opens Center for Business Advising
More than 75 SUNY New Paltz faculty and staff, students, and business community members recently attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Center for Business Advising in the School of Business.
Headed by Rendesia Scott, director of business advising, and Lavoisier Tubman, business advisor/coordinator of evening services, the Center provides undergraduate students with advising services from registration to orientation and scheduling, to graduation evaluations, and more.
“The Center for Business Advising is a key factor in the academic success of our business students,” said Kristin Backhaus, interim dean of the School of Business. “Rendesia Scott and her staff offer individualized, targeted and proactive advising services to our students. They work closely with the faculty and Career Resources to enable students to make the best of their New Paltz education. We are delighted to officially celebrate the opening of the Center.”
After the ceremony, guests took part in touring the newly refurbished space, enjoyed refreshments, and received a complimentary School of Business T-shirt.
