New Paltz American Marketing Association hosts annual Business Day Conference

NEW PALTZ – The State University of New York at New Paltz student chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) will hold its 17th Annual Business Day Conference on Wednesday, October 24.

The conference, which aims to develop the participants’ knowledge and skills to give them a competitive advantage, attracts over 150 students from New Paltz and surrounding colleges, as well as local and regional business leaders.

The theme for this year’s Business Day Conference is “Go Green To Make Green” and will feature keynote speaker, Francesco Rulli, President of Film Annex, an online independent film distribution platform and Web TV Network which allows filmmakers to create free videos and present them in a fashion that turns their name, company, or project into a brand itself.

The conference will highlight green marketing and feature a variety of workshops and skill builders presented by business professionals on topics such as digital marketing, marketing energy efficiency, making business more green, entrepreneurship, team building, solar energy and small group dynamics.

The conference will begin in van den Berg Hall on the New Paltz campus with registration from 9:45-10:00 and workshops from 10:00-11:45. Lunch and the keynote address will be held in the Student Union on campus from 12:15-1:30, as well as workshops from 1:45-2:30.
