New Paltz’s Alumni Reunion Weekend brings together graduates, faculty and community, Friday, Sept. 21 – Sunday, Sept. 23.

NEW PALTZ – The State University of New York at New Paltz announces the details of the annual Alumni Reunion Weekend, Friday, Sept. 21, through Sunday, Sept. 23. This year the College will honor classes that graduated in years ending in a “two” or a “seven.” Alumni from all classes are welcome to attend. Registration is required.

Special events throughout the weekend include a wine tasting with Michael Migliore, graduate class of 1978, manager, owner, and founder of Whitecliff Wineries, at 4 p.m. Saturday. Campus tours, class dinners, museum talks and demonstrations, and musical entertainment will take place throughout the weekend.

Alumni and their children who are currently attending New Paltz are invited to visit the College for a “New Paltz Generations” reception that includes refreshments at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the McKenna Theatre and Plaza. To register, e-mail kennedyd@newpaltz.edu or call 845-257-3239.

The College will honor Robert and Henrietta Mountz (both class of 1968 and graduate class of 1971) and Robert Michael (class of 1975) at the Heritage Alumni Luncheon at noon on Saturday in the Student Union Building.

Class dinners take place 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The Class of 1962 will celebrate its 50th anniversary of graduation with two events: an induction ceremony into the Lantern Society at 6 p.m. Friday and the 1962 Class Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The dinner will be followed by the All Year’s Social, a free event for alumni.

Alumni can conclude their reunion weekend with Sunday brunch at an all-you-can-eat buffet in Hasbrouck Dining Hall at 11 a.m. or in a private dining room in Mohonk Mountain House at 11:30 a.m.

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) will host a Social on Saturday, Sept. 22, with food, music, a slide show, games, prizes, a small play area for children, and a cash bar. Admission to the Social is $15.
