Dear State University of New York at New Paltz Alumni,
The “3-R’s” have a special meaning for this year’s Alumni Reunion Weekend, September 23-25, 2011. This theme describes what a reunion is all about: RECONNECTING with old friends and faculty, REMEMBERING the days of your youth, and RELIVING the events and activities which shaped your days on campus. This year we will specifically honor those classes which graduated in years ending in a “one” or a “six”. However, members of all classes are encouraged to attend.
The Class of 1961 will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of its graduation from New Paltz. Two highlights will be the Induction Ceremony into the Lantern Society on Friday night and the special 1961 Class Dinner on Saturday night. The Class of 1961 committee members have been working hard to locate all members of their class and invite you to view their class website, http://np61.org.
This year is also the 50th Anniversary of the U.S. Peace Corps. Former Peace Corps Volunteers, as well as those who participated in other programs such as Teachers for East Africa, AmeriCorps, VISTA or an independent service program are urged to take part in a special interactive discussion being planned for Saturday. We invite you to sign up and join our roundtable discussion.
