Men’s Volleyball Cruises to Easy Win over Poly Tech

NEW YORK, NY-The New Paltz men’s volleyball team cruised past NYU-Poly Tech this afternoon to start the NECVA Metro season off with a 2-0 record. The Hawks defeated the Blue Jays, 3-0 (30-20, 30-14, 30-12) to improve to 4-4 overall.

Jake Moore led the team with eight kills (8-0-9, .889) and Jonathan Van Dyke finished with seven kills (7-0-18, .389). Dan Liberto chipped in with five kills (5-0-11, .455) and Sean Foley led the defense with 12 digs. Kevin Stross denied the Blue Jays four times, two solo, at the net. Andrew Cassius handed out 18 assists and teammate Frank Ciccone had 11.

The Hawks return to the court Wednesday, February 3 at 7 p.m. in the Hawk Center against Bard College.
