FREDONIA, NY- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) as announced the 2009 SUNYAC Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Team. Five Hawks were named to first and second teams and Head Coach Matt Giufre was named Coach of the Year.
Senior Brittany Coyle (Middletown/Minisink Valley) was named SUNYAC East Division Player of the Year. Seniors Stephanie Bova (Central Square/Paul V. Moore) and Alison Kiernan (New Hyde Park/Herricks) were named to the First Team.
Senior Priska Wilson (Warwick/Warwick) and sophomore Melinda DiGiovanna (West Hempstead/West Hempstead) were named to the Second Team.
The Hawks finished the regular season at 30-5 overall and 7-1 in the SUNYAC.
