Junior Kerri Serkes (Massapequa) was awarded the tennis MVP for 2008/09 season at the athletic ceremony held on May 6, 2009. Serkes helped lead the team to a second place finish at the SUNYAC Championships and an overall dual match record of 8-7. She won the individual title at fifth singles on her way to earning first team all-conference. Serkes was honored with the Chancellor Scholar Athlete award for the second consecutive year.
