No. 5 Endicott Blanks No. 12 New Paltz in NECVA Championship Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 5 seeded Endicott College defeated No. 12 SUNY New Paltz, 30-26, 30-25, 30-15,  in the first round of the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) Championship Tournament on Friday. With the win, the nationally-ranked No. 11 Gulls improved to 22-11 on the year and will take No. 4 seeded Stevens Institute of Technology in quarterfinal action on Saturday. The Hawks closed their season with a ledger of 22-14.

 A.J. Witkofsky paced Endicott at the net, tallying 17 kills, a .520 hitting percentage, and three blocks. Brent Feldman contributed eight kills as the Gulls finished with a team hitting performance of .461. John Emery posted four aces while David Lowe registered six digs. Ben Foster totaled 40 assists and four digs.

 Daniel Liberto and Kevin Stross both notched nine kills while Jake Moore recorded seven kills and five digs. Andrew Cassius dished out 30 assists for New Paltz.
