New Paltz Wins Home Tournament for Third Time

The tennis team hosted the third annual New Paltz Tournament on Saturday and finished first out of six teams. It is the third consecutive year that the Hawks have won. New Paltz defeated RIT and Mt. St. Mary 6-1 to reach the finals where they faced Cortland and won a 6-1 decision. Cortland took second as they defeated Hunter and Oneonta. RIT and Hunter squared off in the three-four match with RIT taking the win. Oneonta defeated Mt. St. Mary in the five-six matchup.

New Paltz completes the fall season with a 2-4 record to finish 8-7 overall in the 2008-09 year.
