NEW PALTZ – Marc Garlasco, a senior military analyst with Human Rights Watch, will present and discuss his photo essay at the Coykendall Science Building Auditorium at the State University of New York at New Paltz at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.
In his presentation, “Violations of International Humanitarian Law During the Conflict in Gaza,” Garalsco will share images he took during a three-week period he spent in Israel and Gaza documenting violations of the Geneva Convention on both sides. His work on this subject has appeared on the National Public Radio (NPR) program “The World.”
Human Rights Watch is a nonprofit, nongovernmental human rights organization made up of more than 275 staff members around the globe. Its staff consists of human rights professionals, including country experts, lawyers, journalists and academics of diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Garalsco worked as an intelligence professional at the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency.
