Morris and Reith Compete at NCAA Division III Swim Championships

Sophomores Marissa Morris (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) and Christine Reith (Penfield, NY/Webster) competed at the 2009 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The championship took place March 18-21 at the University Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota, hosted by Macalester College.

On Wednesday, March 18, Morris competed in the 500 freestyle and posted a time of 5:12.62 in the preliminaries. Reith posted a 24.29 in the 50 freestyle prelim session. Both women have two events left to swim in, with Morris competing in the 200 free and 200 back and Rieth swimming in the 100 free and 200 free. Day One Prelim Results.

On Thursday, Morris and Reith each competed in the 200 freestyle. Morris finished 23rd out of the 64 competitors in the field with a time of 1:53.47. Reith placed 50th in 1:55.70. Day Two Prelim Results.

The two women competed in their final event on Saturday, March 21. Reith finished 28th out of 61 competitors in the 100 freestyle in a time of 52.41 and Morris placed 32nd in the 200 backstroke in 2:08.74. Day Four Results.
