Hawks shut out Polytech in first win of the season
FLORIDA- The SUNY New Paltz women’s lacrosse team picked up their first win of the season defeating Polytech 14-0.
Sam Delgaudio led the Hawks with five goals and Brittany Bennett added three goals and two assists. Julia Donate and Kim Hall each tallied two goals and Hall added four assists. Emma Lynch tallied one goal and three assists for the Hawks.
Lorraine Vultaggio recorded the win in net, playing the first half and 12 minutes in the second half for her first career win. Maggie Delauter finished the rest of the second half in net for the combined shut out. The Hawks did not allow one shot on goal the entire game and improve to 1-2 on the season. The Hawks return to the field March 24 against Ramapo at 4 p.m. on the campus of Ramapo.
