Brockport Too Much for Men’s Basketball

The men’s basketball team traveled to Brockport Saturday afternoon and dropped a 103-70 decision.
New Paltz led 20-19 in the first half with 12:16 to play, before Brockport went on a 20-8 run over the next 5:37 and never looked back. Junior Lee Bertram finished with a game-high 21 points on 9-10 from the floor and 3-3 from the line, all tallied in the first half due to a game ending injury. Senior Matt Hauser hit 4-8 from the floor and 7-7 from the line with three assists to finish with 16 points. First year Harris Wichard netted 11 points and Connor Cornine chipped in with nine points.
The Hawks fall to 7-11 overall and 4-5 in SUNYAC and host Cortland on Tuesday February 3rd at 8:00 pm.
