Women Finish Third at Purple Valley Classic

The women’s cross country team traveled to Williams College on Saturday to take part in the Purple Valley Classic. The women combined for a third place finish in the open 5K event with a total of 77 points finishing behind Williams and St. Rose. Sophomore Danielle Harmon crossed first for the Hawks in 12th place in 21:27 and junior Lisa Cassaro finished in 21:28. Senior Stephanie Albinski crossed 20th in 22:17 and Olga Stulov finished 23rd (22:21). First year Sara Wenger completed the scoring five in 22:52. Rounding out the top seven were Rebecca Shuriff and Amanda Ward.

The men had two runners compete in the varsity 8K event. Ryan Cassidy finished in 30:05 and Mike Zelensky crossed the line in 30:21.

Both teams will return to action on Saturday October 4th when they will compete at the Geneseo Invite.
