Field Hockey Falls to Brockport
The field hockey team traveled to Brockport this afternoon and fell to the Golden Eagles 3-0 in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) contest.
The game was tied 0-0 at the half before Brockport opened up for three goals in the second half. With less than two minutes into the second half the Golden Eagles deflected in a shot. Six minutes later Brockport struck again, before completing the scoring with seven minutes left to play.
The Golden Eagles (5-3 overall, 1-0 SUNYAC) outshot the SUNY New Paltz Hawks (1-4, 0-2 SUNYAC) 29-3 in the game.
Grace Watson (Bayville/Locust Valley) posted 11 saves in net for the Hawks. New Paltz returns to action on Wednesday September 24th when they travel to Oneonta for a 6pm contest.
