NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz softball team clinched a playoff spot for the second consecutive season with a 13-9 conference record and will travel to Plattsburgh for the 2008 SUNYAC Tournament as the #5 seed. The Hawks will face #2 seeded Cortland at 11 a.m. on Thursday May 1st. The the winner of a six-team double elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Div. III Tournament. No. 1 seeded Plattsburgh will face #6 seeded Oswego at 9 a.m. and #3 Buffalo State will take on #4 Brockport at 1 p.m.
