Men’s Basketball Completes Season with Loss to Oneonta

NEW PALTZ, NY — The men’s basketball team hosted Oneonta tonight and dropped a 74-50 decision.
The game was tied at 13-13 at 10:55 before Oneonta took the lead for good on a three pointer by Brian Hooks, en route to outscoring the Hawks 17-5 over the next 5:31. New Paltz trailed 41-26 at the half and would never come closer than 13 points at 12:15.
Junior Matt Hauser led the Hawks with 14 points on 6-9 from the floor. Lee Bertram and Victor Alvarez each finished with 11 points, as Bertram grabbed eight boards.
New Paltz completes their season at 6-19 and 2-14 in SUNYAC.
