The women’s soccer team traveled to Potsdam this afternoon and tied the Bears 0-0 in double overtime. The Hawks are now 4-5-4 overall and 2-2-3 in the conference.
The Hawks goalie, junior Sarah Boccard (Washingtonville) had two saves in the tie game. New Paltz outshot Potsdam 11-2 on goal but was unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Penalty kicks were added after the double overtime to determine conference standings. The Hawks made four kicks while the Lady Bears scored on two.
New Paltz women’s soccer will be back in action Friday, October 12, to host SUNYIT at 4:00 pm.
