Women’s Soccer Falls to Plattsburgh
PLATTSBURGH, NY — The women’s soccer team traveled to Plattsburgh this afternoon and lost to the Cardinals 2-0 in a conference match up. The Hawks fall to 4-5-3 on the season and 2-2-2 in SUNYAC.
After a scoreless first half, Plattsburgh’s Helen Girouz took a thru ball from Elizabeth Radigan and tucked a shot into the bottom left corner in the 62nd minute. Radigian scored the insurance goal in the 84th minute on a hard shot that hit off the bottom of the cross bar and knocked into the goal area. Junior Sarah Boccard stopped 11 shots for the Hawks.
New Paltz returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Potsdam for a 1pm contest.
