NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNYAC has selected first year Lauren Nicomini (Newton, NJ/Kittatinny Regional) as the conference Field Hockey Player of the Week. Nicomini factored in all three goals of a 3-1 win over Oswego State on Saturday. She scored her first two collegiate goals to help the Hawks build a 2-0 lead, and then assisted on the third goal. Nicomini has two goals and four assists on the season and the Hawks are 3-2 in SUNYAC play this season. This is the sixth time a New Paltz field hockey player as been recognized by the conference since the honor began in 2001.
