NEW PALTZ, NY — The women’s tennis team remained unbeaten on the year with an 8-1 victory over Manhattanville this afternoon. Junior Dana Lim captured first singles 6-0, 6-0 and paired up with senior Eri Yamakawa in first doubles for an 8-3 win. Liz Bierne claimed third singles 6-1, 6-0 and teamed up with Lyndsey Lovinger in second doubles and cruised to an 8-0 victory. Junior Katherine Ketigian won fourth singles 6-0, 6-1 and partnered with first year Stephanie Schara in third doubles to win 8-0.
Junior Lindsay Trifiletti earned fifth singles with a 6-0, 6-0 showing and Kerri Serkes breezed to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at sixth singles. Blake Lesser was the only winner for Manhattanville, claiming second singles over Yamakawa 6-1, 4-6, 5-10.The team will return to action on Friday September 7th when they travel to Cortland to take on the Red Dragons.
