Buffalo State Rallies Past Men’s Soccer 3-1
BUFFALO, NY — The men’s soccer team traveled to Buffalo State this afternoon for a conference matchup with the Bengals and fell 3-1. The Hawks took the early lead on a goal by sophomore Sean Reminick in the eighth minute with assists from Justin Thompson and Joe Rose. The Bengals evened the game in the 26th minute on a one-touch from five yards out.
Over a minute into the second stanza the Bengals took the 2-1 lead and added an insurance marker in the 69th minute. The Hawks were out-shot 19-10. Peter Carmel made nine save in goal for New Paltz. The Hawks return to action next weekend when they host Geneseo on Friday September 28th at 4pm, followed by Brockport on Saturday September 29th at 1pm.
