NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team has been selected to participate in the 2007 ECAC Division III Men’s Volleyball Championship. The Hawks (22-9) are seeded No. 3 and will face off against No. 2 Rivier (17-12) in the semifinals at 1p.m on Saturday. The winner will advance to play in the Championship at 3 p.m. against No. 1 Newbury (28-12)/No.4 Endicott (16-16). As the No. 1 seed, Newbury will be the host of the tournament.
Earlier in the season, the Hawks faced Rivier and were defeated 3-1 (29-31, 30-28, 25-30, 22-30).
