NEW PALTZ, NY — Michelle Coombs (Newburgh, NY) was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Winter Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete for women’s swimming. The SUNYAC Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Awards are given annually in each sport to a first or second team all-conference member with the highest grade-point average. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have at least three semesters completed. This is the first SUNYAC Scholar-Athlete award for Coombs.
