Hawks Swept by Randolph-Macon
ASHLAND, VA — The SUNY New Paltz baseball team traveled to Virginia to take on Randolph-Macon College in a double-header. In game one, Randolph-Macon used a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh for the come from behind 6-5 victory over the Hawks. Senior George Perry led the Hawks at the plate, going 3-for-3 with an RBI. Seniors John DeKams and Justin Buonamano each had two hits, with Buonamano collecting three RBI’s. Jim Donohue took the loss on the mound.
In game two, the Hawks fell 7-5. Junior Zach Potter threw six complete innings in the loss on the mound, allowing six hits and four earned runs. DeKams led the offense with two hits, two RBI and one run.
The Hawks will return to action next weekend when they take on St. Pauls and Mary Washington.
