Hawks Fall to Bengals, 96-83

BUFFALO, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s basketball team traveled to Buffalo State tonight and lost by a score of 96-83. The Hawks took an early six point lead, only to be followed by a Buffalo State 11-0 run. The Bengals led 48-39 at the half. The Hawks rallied to even the score at 61 with just over 21 minutes remaining. Buffalo State soon pulled away for the 13 point victory. Buffalo State’s bench outscored the New Paltz reserves, 34-7.
Amseshem Foluke-Henderson paced New Paltz with a double-double 20 points and 12 rebounds. Tony Cannon had 20 points and had five assists. John and Matt Hauser added 20 and 10 points respectively.
SUNY New Paltz falls to 10-12 on the season and 3-10 in the conference. The Hawks will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Oneonta.
