NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Baseball team will play a 28-inning game against Vassar College on Saturday September 24 at 9 am at Loren Campbell Field.
SUNY New Paltz is 4-2 against Vassar College in their last six scheduled meetings. The Hawks have out scored Vassar by a margin of 23 runs, and look to widen the margin with run production from junior third baseman John DeKams, senior outfielder Jeff Cote, and senior catcher Josh Gutes
In the spring on 2005 the Hawks met the Brewers on three different occasions. In their first meeting, The Hawks walked away with a 10-4 victory. The result was not the same the second time around; the Brewers defeated the Hawks by a score of 8-7. SUNY New Paltz would retaliate in the third game of the season with a strong offensive effort resulting in a 7-1 victory over Vassar College.
