Cote’ Earns SUNYAC Chancellor’s Award

NEW PALTZ, NY — For the second straight year, SUNY New Paltz junior outfielder Jeff Cote’ (Mechanicsville, MD) has earned the SUNYAC Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award.

The Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award is given to a student-athlete in each SUNYAC sponsored sport who was a member the all-conference team and earned the highest grade-point average.

Cote’, a First Team All-SUNYAC selection, hit .333 and led the Hawks with 14 doubles. He also tied for the team lead in runs batted in (25), and finished second in runs scored (26).

In the classroom, Cote’ had a grade-point average of 3.79 in computer engineering.

Cote’ was the third SUNY New Paltz student-athlete to be recognized by the Chancellor this year. In the spring, Kelly Long (women’s volleyball) and Liz Delia (women’s swimming) were recognized as Chancellor’s Award recipients as well.
