NASHUA, NH — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team fell 3-2 to Newbury in the semifinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North Tournament this afternoon.
The second-seeded Hawks (26-11) took the opening game 30-20. Newbury then rallied for a 30-28 in game two before SUNY New Paltz moved to a 2-1 advantage following a 31-29 win in game three.
Newbury, seeded third in the tournament, prevailed 33-31 in the fourth game and then outlasted SUNY New Paltz 15-8 in the deciding game.
