SUNY New Paltz Men’s Volleyball Team Defeats Yeshiva

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team defeated conference rival Yeshiva this evening, 3-0, at Elting Gymnasium. The Hawks took the first two games 30-11 and won the third 30-25 for the win.

Senior outside hitter Liam Doyle (Rhinebeck, NY) led the Hawks with seven kills and a .500 hitting percentage. Senior outside hitter Mike LaRocco (Hauppauge, NY) recorded six kills and five service aces to aid SUNY New Paltz in the victory.

The Hawks (23-9, 9-3) finished with a .410 hitting percentage, while the Maccabees (2-16, 0-11) hit .067 for the match.

Senior captain Joey Small (Los Angeles, CA) led Yeshiva with five kills and two service aces.

The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team will complete their regular season schedule next Tuesday, April 5th, at East Stroudsburg University.
