NEW YORK, NY — Senior guard Kim Weigel (Whitestone, NY) led three Hawks in double figures with 19 points as SUNY New Paltz cruised to a 76-29 win over City College of New York this evening.
The Hawks, who are now 4-4, received scoring from 13 different players. Sophomore forward Sandra Glazewski (Dobbs Ferry, NY) added 11 points and freshman guard Sarah Salvo (Manorville, NY) scored a season-best 10 points off the bench.
SUNY New Paltz took control early and built a double-digit ten minutes into the contest and held a 37-18 lead at the half. The Hawks held a 52-32 rebounding advantage and forced 25 CCNY (1-9) turnovers.
SUNY New Paltz will host Polytechnic on Saturday (Jan. 8) at 2:00 p.m.
