Defending NAIA National Champ California Baptist Sweeps Hawks

RIVERSIDE, CA — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team ran into defending NAIA National Champion California Baptist University this evening and the Lancers swept the Hawks 3-0.

California Baptist (4-2) hit .650 in the opening game to prevail 30-13. The Lancers would hit .351 on the day and win games two and three by scores of 30-17 and 30-23.

Senior Shaun Dyk led the Lancers (4-2) with 14 kills and a .722 hitting percentage.

SUNY New Paltz was led by senior Mike LaRocco (Hauppauge, NY) who finished with five kills. SUNY New Paltz finished its week-long California road trip with a 1-3 record.
