SUNY New Paltz Men’s Volleyball Team Sweeps Brooklyn College
NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team improved to 13-7 on the season with a 3-0 win over Brooklyn College this afternoon.
The Hawks committed just 13 errors in the three games and hit .294 for the match. Senior middle blocker Rob Dietrich (San Jose, CA) led the way with 10 kills, three block assists and a .417 hitting percentage.
Junior outside hitter Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) added seven kills and a .455 hitting percentage. Junior setter Jason Karpf (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY) handed out 22 assists for the Hawks who recorded their 10th, 3-0 win of the season.
Brooklyn College struggled on the offensive end and hit .013 for the match. Sophomore middle hitter Edward Hunter (Brooklyn, NY) had eight kills for the Bridges who dropped to 10-8 with the loss.
SUNY New Paltz will host New Jersey City University on Thursday evening.
