SUNY New Paltz signs articulation agreements with region’s community colleges

NEW PALTZ — The State University of New York at New Paltz recently signed articulation agreements with three two-year colleges: Adirondack Community College, Bergen Community College in New Jersey and SUNY Cobleskill.

The agreements include departmental contracts in the schools of Fine Arts, Business, Education, and Science and Engineering and the College of Liberal Arts and Science, and cover a broad range of transfer programs designed to assist community college students in determining course equivalency toward the major.

“When accepted into a parallel program at New Paltz, these students are accorded full junior status with the potential to complete their degree requirements within four additional semesters of successful full-time study,” said Lisa Jones, articulation coordinator at New Paltz.

“These agreements add to an already strong partnership New Paltz has with regional two-year institutions, including Columbia-Greene, Dutchess, Hudson Valley, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster community colleges,” Jones added.
