SUNY New Paltz Women s Soccer Team Falls 4-0 To Oneonta State In Home Finale
NEW PALTZ, NY — In their final home game of the season, the SUNY New Paltz women’s soccer team fell to conference rival Oneonta State, 4-0, this afternoon.
Oneonta’s first goal came in the seventh minute when Hawk’s junior defender Courtney Muller (Lake Grove, NY) knocked the ball into her own net. Sophomore midfielder Brittney Gates (Syracuse, NY) scored in the 24th minute to give the Red Dragons a 2-0 lead going into the half. Senior midfielder Sanada Mujanovic (Centereach, NY) scored her team leading seventh goal in the 87th minute off a pass from senior forward Amanda LaPolla (New Hartford, NY) to seal the 4-0 victory and give the Red Dragons their fifth straight win.
Sophomore goalie Laura Morcone (Mechanicville, NY) recorded one save for Oneonta and junior goalkeeper Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY) had 13 saves for New Paltz.
