Union Defeats New Paltz 3-0

SCHENECTADY, NY – — The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team dropped to 3-6 on the year with a 3-0 loss at Union College this evening.

The Hawks struggled throughout match and registered a .019 hitting percentage over the three games. New Paltz turned its best hitting performance in game one (.156) but dropped the game 30-21.

Union took the second game 30-25 and raced out to a 22-5 lead in the third game before winning 30-16.

Sophomore outside hitter Andrea Kaiser (Blue Point, NY) registered a team-best five kills for the Hawks. Sophomore outside hitter Kelly Long (Endwell, NY) added eight digs for the Hawks who will play in the NYU Invitational on Sept. 12-13.
