Hawks Fall to 0-2 With Loss to Conference Foe Oswego

OSWEGO, NY – — Kat Stead (Clifton Park, NY) scored five goals and added four assists to lift Oswego to a 17-1 victory over the Hawks this afternoon.

Stead put the Lakers (3-3, 1-1) on the scoreboard 28 seconds into game and helped ignite a 5-0 Oswego lead in the first nine minutes.

Eight different Lakers found the net and Oswego built an 11-0 margin at the intermission. Katie Carbonaro tallied three goals and two assists for Oswego and Lindsey Conlin added two goals and two assists.

Sophomore attack wing Mary Warren (Mineola, NY) scored the lone goal for the Hawks who fell to 0-2 overall and in the SUNYAC.

Senior goalie Lisa Bizzarro (Lindenhurst, NY) stopped 16 shots for New Paltz.

The Hawks travel to Poughkeepsie to face Vassar tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.
